The effectiveness of the Be Mindful course is the subject of a highly significant research study by the Department of Psychiatry, Oxford University.

The findings, which were published in the British Medical Journal's BMJ Open, demonstrate the clinical effectiveness of Wellmind Health's Be Mindful Pathway. Be Mindful is the only clinically validated online Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) course.

The study entitled 'Mindfulness online: an evaluation of the feasibility of a web-based mindfulness course for stress, anxiety and depression' reported the average outcomes for completers of the course. Participants were found to benefit from outstanding reductions of 58% in anxiety (GAD-7), 40% in stress (PSS) and 57% in depression (PHQ-9).

The study was a follow-up of a previous research study by the Department of Psychiatry, Oxford University. The former study evaluated the feasibility of the Be Mindful online course and its impact on stress. It was published in BMJ Open in 2012 and showed that participants enjoyed a 40% reduction in stress (PSS).

The research findings evaluating the effectiveness of this digital MBCT course were published in the British Medical Journal on November 29th 2013. Read the full article here.
